Leverage

Leverage prepares newly elected SkillsUSA state officers to lead with confidence, engage members and make an impact. Held in the days leading up to the National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC), this immersive leadership experience combines hands-on learning, leadership development and collaborative planning to equip state officers for a successful year of service.

Leverage helps achieve the SkillsUSA mission by preparing state officers to:

• Build high-functioning teams by strengthening individual leadership abilities, understanding team roles and fostering effective collaboration.

• Communicate effectively on behalf of SkillsUSA by developing and delivering compelling SkillsUSA Framework Stories and strengthening presentation skills.

• Engage SkillsUSA members by designing and facilitating meaningful learning experiences that bring SkillsUSA Framework skills to life.

• Develop a SkillsUSA Program of Work by establishing team priorities, creating an actionable plan for their year of service and presenting that plan effectively.

Dates and Tentative Times

Saturday, June 19 to Monday, June 21, 2027

Typically, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. ET each day.

A final daily agenda will be provided in the spring.

Lunch is provided daily for registered Leverage state officer attendees only.

During Leverage, attendees should arrange their own transportation between their hotel and the Georgia World Congress Center.
